Prior to supervised visitation starting, the non-custodial parent must complete an intake session with the supervisor. This will take place in person. The supervisor will discuss with the parent the reason for supervised visitation as well as information about their child and the relationship they have with the child. The custodial parent must also participate in the intake process and should bring the child to the visitation location to meet the supervisor. The child will have the opportunity to become familiar with the visitation space and to ask any questions they may have about the upcoming visits with their parent.
The non-custodial parent will arrive 15 minutes before the visit is set to begin. The custodial parent will arrive to the lobby with the child on-time when the visit is scheduled to begin. The child will separate from the custodial parent in the lobby and be walked to the visitation space. The non-custodial parent and child will then visit for the time allotted in the visitation space. A non-custodial parent may bring a game or food for the visit if that has been pre-approved by the supervisor. The visitation space has toys, games, books and art supplies to use during their time together. The custodial parent will arrive in the lobby promptly at the end of the visit where they will meet the supervisor and child. The custodial parent will leave with the child. The non-custodial parent will complete any necessary paperwork post-visit and leave approximately fifteen minutes after the custodial parent and child.
