Family Matters of Morris County was established to meet the needs of children and parents who are required to have supervised contact as a result of family disputes and behavioral risks. It is clear that there are limited services available to ensure that children and parents involved in high-conflict divorce or custody cases are able to maintain a healthy relationship.
Parents are often court ordered to have supervised visitation with their children while issues relating to custody and parenting time are addressed in family court. Supervised parenting time might be required in cases involving domestic violence, mental health, substance abuse or child abuse allegations.
Parent Coordination is also available for those involved in high-conflict divorce and custody matters in need of a neutral third party to reduce conflict and help shift focus onto the needs of their children.
Family Matters also offers GAL services. Utilizing a GAL who has a wealth of experience with family conflict and the ability to discern what is in the best interest of a child is of the utmost importance.
